Tom graduated in Liverpool specialising in helping people overcome traumatic life events and possesses considerable skills in assisting people to conquer phobias and irrational fears. He has a wealth and depth of experience in the caring services and has studied in the UK and the USA achieving Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in the field of learning disability and has published extensively in this area. He is an honorary University Visiting Research Fellow and has links with Higher Education establishments in the UK as well as the USA and Asia.
An elected Fellow of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health Tom was one of the first professionals to successfully undertake the Health Education Council's programme in helping people to stop smoking and he has achieved much success and recognition in this area including a prestigious "Roy Castle Clean Air Award" for his work with Lecturers at the School of Health Studies, University of Bradford.
Tom is an accomplished clinical hypnotherapist who practices solution-orientated hypnosis which helps people to understand the issues affecting them and in partnership with them, identify strategies to make positive and lasting changes to their life. He has given numerous lectures on therapeutic applications of clinical hypnosis to a number of groups and has been engaged by many organisations to help promote a stress free working environment.
